Since it opened in November 2010, the Potted Hen in St Anne’s Square has become one of the most talked about restaurants in Belfast.
This chic, bistro-style restaurant is owned by husband and wife team Dermot and Catherine Regan, who also own the popular and award-winning Oregano Restaurant in Newtownabbey.
It is the first restaurant to open in the beautiful square which is set to become one of the most sought after residential and leisure areas in the city.
The philosophy of the Potted Hen is the same as its sister restaurant – creating delicious, imaginative dishes using the freshest of ingredients in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Both Dermot and Catherine are deeply passionate about what they do and want the food to be the main focus – to speak for itself.
The interior is modern yet welcoming and comfortable, with plain wooden furniture, iron columns, cream panelled walls and exposed duct work on the ceilings. The floor is dark, slate grey, designed to echo the cobbled street outside.
With its enviable location under a stunning colonnade, it will become a haven for those who love al fresco dining during the summer months.
The restaurant has an intimate, friendly feel like its sister restaurant. It is the perfect place to go to enjoy great food, fantastic service and good conversation.
